Hi! I'm Kristin -- Thanks for browsing through Integrative Health Solutions. I look forward to working with you, but first I'd like to tell you a little about myself so that you know why I started Integrative Health Solutions.

I've always had a passion for health and for helping people. In fact, it was a goal to become a nurse, but some of the dirtier things they have to do pushed me away. God bless our nurses! 

In 2013 I moved away from home, got married, and had children. It's the dream unless you're in a domestically abusive relationship like I was. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to escape until about 8 years later, but when I left, I felt free and able to finally take charge of my life and fulfill the dreams I had early on. That said, I couldn't start any of that until I took care of myself. You see, the trauma from my marriage took a huge toll on my body. Whether it was anxiety, PTSD or Inflammatory Bowel Disease, my body wasn't balanced at all. Not to mention the effect finances and parenting stress had on top of it. 

During this time in my life,  I was under weight, loosing hair, malnourished... sometimes it was a challenge to get out of bed, much less to go a 9-5 daily. I remember not eating for days to ensure I could leave the house without having an accident. Outside of the pain and physical affects of Ulcerative Colitis, I was severely depressed. 

I had to take control.

I started practicing techniques to heal myself from within, allowing my nervous system to adjust to its new normal and focus on aligning myself with my goals. After working with a Functional Practitioner for guidance, I learned what it took for my body to function optimally.

Through this, my IBD is manageable (without harmful medications), my stress level is maintained, and I have a vast knowledge of what my body needs.

My story has led me to you, giving you the same attention, practice, techniques and results I gave myself. My life wouldn’t be the same without changing my mindset, goals, lifestyle and practice and being determined to find the root cause of my "dis-ease". 

As an Integrative Health Practitioner it is my mission to help you achieve your desired results, health, and healing.

I work virtually, offering Functional and Integrative health locally in Williamsburg, VA and surrounding counties (Hanover, Richmond, Virginia Beach, New Kent, Alexandria, Henrico) and in all 50 states.
